New Domestic Homicide Project Spotlight Briefing on Young Victims

A new Spotlight Briefing from the VKPP's Domestic Homicide Project is published today and focuses for the first time on young victims in intimate partner homicides and suspected victim suicides.
In total, one in 10 domestic homicides and suicides involved victims aged 16-24 years. The research shows that these victims are being subjected to high risk domestic abuse.
This Spotlight Briefing highlights the extent, profile and risk factors faced by young victims including older – especially “much older” – perpetrators and coercive and controlling behaviour.
