Learning event for Policing Analysts and Researchers - Approaches to Analysis of Vulnerability
Following the success of last year’s event and our continued monthly Micro CPD sessions, we are pleased to invite you to attend our second in-person event for intelligence analysts and researchers in policing, hosted by the Vulnerability Knowledge and Practice Programme (VKPP) at the College of Policing, Ryton on Tuesday 11th February 2025.
The event will focus on approaches to vulnerability analysis and research with an exciting range of inputs from both internal and external speakers. Key topics we will cover throughout the day include:
- The importance of Preventative Policing within analysis and research.
- How the National Centre for VAWG and Public Protection will incorporate our community.
- An introduction to the work of the Vulnerability and Policing Futures Research Centre.
We will also be hosting 3 breakout rooms prior to lunch to delve deeper into 3 vulnerability thematics; Domestic Abuse; the national VAWG STRA (Strategic Threat Risk Assessment); and the work of the CSA centre.
This is an in-person event which is free of charge to intelligence analyst and researcher colleagues in policing (accommodation is not included), at the College of Policing in Ryton. Lunch, along with tea and coffee during breaks will be included. Registrations will open at 9am with the event running 9.30am to 4pm.
We would encourage intelligence analysts and researchers in policing to attend this event to support your knowledge of and connections to the wider analytical and research community.
Places will be given on a first come, first served basis and are limited. We therefore encourage anyone who is interested to book onto the event as soon as possible, booking forms and further details can be requested by policing intelligence analysts and researchers by contacting vkpp@college.police.uk. To ensure all forces have the opportunity to attend, we will be restricting bookings to a maximum of 8 attendees per force in the first instance. We can accept reserve places for additional attendees to fill any spaces still available towards the end of the booking period.
We look forward to welcoming you to our event.
